The Director, ARL Business Operations is a key member of the Laboratory's leadership team.Reporting to the ARL Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Business Operations will provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing business services solutions that align with the mission of ARL and the University. You will have overall responsibility for a staff of over 90 employees providing proposal development, contract negotiation and administration, subcontracts, procurement, property inventory, program finance, financial planning, accounting systems, accounts payable/receivable, contract closeouts, and travel/labor accounting. You will also oversee the continuous development of business functions, including: Financial management, reporting, and budgeting; business intelligence and internal control systems to ensure compliance with university policies and federal regulations; financial cost recording for audit compliance; business related policies, procedures, and processes; and system requirements to support future reporting enhancements. Your working location will be fully on-site, located in State College, PA. Due to the financial or fiduciary responsibilities of this position, successful completion of a credit history check will also be required in addition to standard background checks. MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree 10+ years of relevant experience, includes 5+ years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: NoneARL's purpose is to research and develop innovative solutions to challenging scientific, engineering, and technology problems in support of the Navy, Intel Community (IC), and other federal government customers.
