Summary:

The Lead Technologist provides support to their designated areas, peers and direct leader to ensure safe practices and optimal workflow. Performs imaging studies as licensure allows and according to established practices and procedures. Takes call if necessary, assists in creation and maintenance of staff schedules, assists with training of new employees, participates in hiring processes, orders supplies and other duties as determined by direct manager in addition to all responsibilities pertaining to technologist workflow at PresNow.

Type of Opportunity: Full time FTE: 1.00 Job Exempt: No Work Shift: Days (United States of America)

Responsibilities:

*Performs imaging and completes exams as determined by an ordering physician/radiologist under the policies and procedures set forth by PHS and direct leadership.
*Verifies correct patients and procedures utilizing established best practices and professional communication skills.
*Educate patients prior to procedures, explains what to expect and answer patient questions.
*Provides written documentation of procedures performed and patient history pertaining to procedures performed.
*Assists providers, RNs, EMTs, RTs, front office staff, and leaders with patient care needs within their scope of care and training level.
*Maintains established department policies, procedures, objectives, safety and quality assurance.
*Assists in maintaining upkeep of department and equipment, including ordering and stocking supplies, cleaning, correcting IT issues, and communicating with appropriate parties to maintain facilities and equipment.
*Attends/participates in departmental staff meetings, pertinent in-services, workshops/seminars for continuing education to enhance professional growth and development as determined by licensure requirements and assignments from leadership team.
*Assists leaders with staff schedules, creating processes to ensure consistency and fairness in filling staffing needs as needed.
*Provides proof of competency as required by annual and periodic skills assessments.
*Plans and coordinates organizational change in alignment with company goals.
*Anticipates and addresses customer needs in all forms related to licensure, training and scope of practice.
*Educate employees and customers to pertinent information regarding radiation safety, privacy, policies and procedures and workflow as needed.
*Functions as an effective team member through informational support, shift coverage, and responding to needs.
*Acquires and apply superior skills to achieve high quality outcomes.
*Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

*Associates degree, essential.
*Lift/push/pull over 80 pounds regularly.
*Reach over head and crouch to floor regularly.
*Stand/brisk walk regularly.
*Computer skills to include email, document creation/editing and typing at a minimum.
*Willingness to be in an indoor environment exposed to light, radiation and bodily fluids for entire shift.
*BLS
*NM Radiologic License
*ARRT License/ARDMS License
