Job Description




As a Security Officer - Access Control in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech location where you will perform unarmed patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, requiring travel throughout the location as part of your patrol responsibilities. In a role built on agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity, you will support daily operations while making a meaningful impact.

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a dynamic technology location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with badge and entry procedures, and report suspicious conditions, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
  • Support site operations during shifts by communicating clearly with Allied Universal leaders, client representatives, and/or first responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
