DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports senior leadership by managing key tasks that keep daily operations organized and efficient. As a Governor's Office Staff Assistant, you will perform the following duties:
- Meeting Support: Greet attendees for meetings with senior staff and ensure clear communication with the correct team members
- Gift Log Management: Maintain and process the Governor's gift log and coordinate storage and documentation
- Scheduling Assistance: Support scheduling requests, coordinate calendars, and complete related data entry
- Correspondence Processing: Prepare, log, and mail official correspondence from the Governor's Office
- Material Preparation: Help draft and assemble memos, briefing materials, and meeting packets
- Travel Coordination: Provide travel reservation and reimbursement assistance for executive office staff
This is not a routine administrative role. We are seeking someone who is:

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Given the always-on nature of the role, work outside of 8:30-5:00 and on weekends is expected.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: The selected candidate will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $58,660.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years of administrative experience, supporting senior executives or working in government, public service, or similarly high sensitivity, executive environments.
Additional Requirements:
- You must have the ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- You must have proven success working in fast-paced, high-pressure settings with shifting priorities.
- You must have strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- You must be a confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- You must have the ability to anticipate needs, think several steps ahead, and solve problems proactively.
- You must be proficient with standard office software (Microsoft Office and Google Suite).
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Experience assisting multiple senior level staff simultaneously
- Familiarity with SAP Concur for travel coordination and reimbursement processes
