Coperion is currently seeking a Welder to support our location in Whitewater, WI. There is a lot of room for growth in other disciplines if desired! We have a 5S environment, a very clean production floor and great people to work with!

Schedule: 1st shift Monday-Thursday 6am-3pm & Friday 6am - Noon

Responsibilities:

  • Performs welding and/or fitting, set-up, and layout of raw and formed metal in the creation of metal products

  • Basic ability to read prints, tolerances, and job requirements

  • Cleans and/or grinds welds

  • Performs general basic maintenance on equipment and workstation ensuring a clean, safe and orderly work environment

  • Checks of quality of welds, repairing as needed

  • Performs basic use of grinders, bevellers, torches, and other standard welding equipment

  • Support our lean manufacturing process with 5S

  • Adhere to ISO 9001 company standards, work instructions and procedures

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Welding Certificate or 3 or more years' welding experience

  • Prior TIG Welding required

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Ability to multitask

  • Basic computer knowledge preferred

  • Dependability a must

  • Blueprint and Schematic Reading required
