Client Success Specialist - Licensing and Subscription

The Client Success Specialist will work with clients and internal stakeholders to maximize client retention and profitability through consistent delivery of licensing & subscription-related client success motions. The Client Success Specialist will also work with the operations, finance and managed services teams to establish best operational practices that ensure scalability as the licensing and subscription business expands. This role serves as a strategic partner to customers, NRI Alliance Partners, and internal sales and delivery teams, ensuring strong retention, increased consumption, and expansion of our partners' solutions.


Essential Duties

  • Develop and execute strategies to increase licensing and subscription related revenue and gross profit.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing portfolio of accounts.
  • Target and convert competitive net new licensing and subscription accounts to expand NRI's footprint.
  • Support new business development through renewal conversations and co-sell motions.
  • Optimize renewal agreements to increase revenue, gross profit, and customer lifetime value.
  • Lead customer onboarding, transition management, renewals, and pricing updates while supporting licensing components of Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
  • Establish and enforce best practices through process standardization, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience required as well as demonstrated continuing professional development.
  • 3 -5 years of experience in Microsoft, Cisco, Databricks and/or Nvidia licensing & subscription business.
  • Broad business acumen with a demonstrated ability to achieve goals with a high degree of self-initiation and independence.
  • Demonstrated client management approach providing clients with long-term licensing strategy.
  • Working knowledge of Software Asset Management principles and methodologies.
  • Expert level organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, strong decision-making abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Experience researching Microsoft, Cisco, Databricks and/or Nvidia constructs, products, services, and policies.
  • Proficient at using Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and SalesForce.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to direct, train, and mentor others.
  • Extremely focused on details and quality of work, generating error-free analysis and quotes for clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and establish credibility.
  • A high caliber business professional who is trustworthy and possesses excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Direct experience with Microsoft, Cisco, Databricks and/or Nvidia licensing & subscription functions with a deep understanding of how to work directly with their internal teams and end-user customers


In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for discretionary bonus plan based on company and individual performance. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each candidate, including experience and location.
