As a Security Officer Screening Specialist in Hayward, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, helping support a secure environment through screening activities, access monitoring, and professional customer service. You will remain visible, communicate clearly, and help to deter security-related incidents while assisting employees and visitors. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and/or team members by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, packages, bags, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with site procedures and report unusual activity, prohibited items, and/or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or site contacts as needed.
• Monitor access points, shipping and receiving areas, and/or employee entrances to help support authorized entry and orderly movement throughout the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, trailer yards, dock areas, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
