Overview NaphCare is seeking an experienced and motivated Charge Registered Nurse (RN) - Full-Time Night Shift to join our dynamic healthcare team at the Washoe County Jail in Reno, Nevada. This leadership opportunity is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care while supporting and guiding clinical staff. Pay range: $47.37-$50.00/hour (includes shift differential) As a Correctional Charge RN, you will play a vital leadership role by overseeing nursing operations during your shift, supporting and coordinating nursing staff, and collaborating closely with correctional officers and healthcare professionals to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care. Responsibilities The Charge Registered Nurse coordinates shift activities and performs a wide range of duties, including assessing patients, administering medications, managing emergencies, and ensuring adherence to established protocols and procedures. Duties and responsibilities may include and are not limited to:
Performing initial health screenings and physical assessments of newly detained individuals
Qualifications Experience / Requirements / Qualifications
Physical Capabilities: Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
