About the Role

The Patient Service Representative (PSR) - Practice Float Pool plays a key part in creating a welcoming, supportive, and efficient experience for patients across our Southern Region ambulatory practices. As a valued member of the float pool, you will adapt to the needs of various clinic locations while ensuring high-quality administrative and patient-facing support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet patients and visitors, providing friendly and professional customer service
  • Answer and route incoming telephone calls
  • Schedule, cancel, and adjust appointments with accuracy and care
  • Support daily clinic operations by performing general office and administrative tasks
  • Collect, verify, enter, and monitor patient information
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and MaineHealth confidentiality policies
  • Collaborate closely with clinical and administrative staff to support efficient patient flow

Summary:
The Patient Service Representative (PSR) - MMC BID SAN role greets patients in a friendly and courteous manner, answers telephones, schedules appointments, and performs other overall general office duties as assigned. The PSR will also collect, verify, enter, and monitor patient data while complying with the federal, state and MaineHealth confidentiality policies.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Driver's license may be required.
  3. Experience: Experience in a medical office and customer service preferred.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Computer skills, effective cash collection skills.

The pay range for this position is $19.48to $23.14 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
