ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Member/Visitor Service: Courteously and efficiently greets and directs members and non-members within the designated work area. Screens visitors to the building and secures a visitor badge as needed. Maintains and secures visitor log. Answers telephone in a courteous manner and directs calls as necessary.
  • General Clerical: Assists in duties such as: process check orders, weekly quality of signature cards, supply orders, prepare savings and loan documents for imaging, process savings mail, and perform monthly quality of bank wire requests. Ensures that lobby area is neat and no unauthorized literature is left.
  • Additional/General: Assists management in identifying problem areas in lobby operation and facility maintenance. Performs various clerical duties and other tasks as required.
  • Other: Perform other similar or related duties, as required or directed.
  • The additional duties performed are as follows:
    • Perform verification of information on various loan applications for MSC and all branch offices.
    • Loan Report (Code 41). Verifying loan disbursal checks have cleared and are endorsed.
    • Verify signature cards are on file for all new members resulting from Indirect Lending.
    • Log in an Excel spreadsheet all new Indirect Lending Contracts received on Tuesdays. Send a copy to Credit Support.
    • Prepare New Member Packages to be mailed to all new members resulting from Indirect Lending.
    • Prepare New Member Packages and letter to be mailed to all new members.
    • Mail renewal notices for Safe Deposit Boxes.
    • Mail out notices for Dormant Accounts.
    • Log names of individuals who complete an Employment Application and forward to Human Resources.
    • Collect, order and distribute office supplies from Peachtree, weekly.
    • Cover the receptionist desk at the Edgewood Branch when the usual receptionist is out or away from their desk. This includes functions for assisting members during that coverage.
  • Additional: Responsible for completion of applicable training and compliance on federal regulations and APGFCU policies and procedures as related to the duties of this position (Bank Secrecy Act, Information Security as examples, if applicable).

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Equivalent to a high school diploma, plus additional specialized courses.

Experience: Six months to one year experience in general receptionist/clerical work (i.e., ten key calculator, on-line computer, general office procedures) including customer service.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of general clerical duties. Professional telephone manners required. Must be self-motivated. Typing skills required. Knowledge of financial institution procedures, basic principles of debits and credits, and commercial mathematics. Knowledge of personal computers, software applications, and business office equipment. Requires good interpersonal and interaction skills, and organization and oral communication skills; must have the ability to work as part of a team and handle multi-tasked, fast-paced environment.
