About the Job

Event Supervisors will serve as the on-site manager for select Gopher Sports Spaces special events. Oversee the use of the facility during the event and serve as the point-person for all event staff and needs. Supervisory duties include -

  • Coordinate with Special Events staff to become well-informed with details for scheduled events
  • Communicate effectively with all groups involved in the successful execution of the event (security, parking, catering, operations, tour guides, etc.)
  • Work alongside facility operations staff to determine additional needs prior to the start of the event, assure proper set-up, security and access needs
  • Handle customer questions and concerns in a professional and upbeat manner
  • Become familiar with facility policies/procedures and safety protocols
  • Provide post-event reports
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Must display strong interpersonal and leadership ability
  • Able to make decisions quickly, follow protocols/procedures and handle adverse situations professionally
  • Detail-oriented, organized and a proactive problem-solver
  • Ability to carry/lift up to 30 lbs., climb stairs
  • Available to work nights and weekends
  • High School Diploma
  • Prior supervisory and event management experience preferred

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $15.25 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
