Licensed Therapist for Children

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality in-person outpatient therapy services for children approximately ages 6-12 in a safe, engaging, and supportive clinical environment
  • Conduct initial assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and maintain ongoing therapeutic interventions tailored to each child's developmental and emotional needs
  • Utilize age-appropriate therapeutic modalities including play therapy, CBT, behavioral interventions, social-emotional skill building, trauma-informed approaches, mindfulness techniques, and family-centered interventions
  • Build and maintain strong therapeutic rapport with children while fostering trust, emotional safety, and engagement throughout treatment
  • Collaborate with parents, guardians, caregivers, schools, and other providers when clinically appropriate to support continuity of care and treatment progress
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation including intake assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries, and other required records
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment interventions as clinically indicated
  • Identify and appropriately respond to crisis situations, safety concerns, mandatory reporting obligations, and behavioral or emotional escalations
  • Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations, state licensing requirements, and professional codes of conduct
  • Maintain a consistent weekly schedule to support continuity and reliability for child clients and families
  • Participate collaboratively within the practice environment while functioning independently as a 1099 contractor
  • Utilize the child-focused therapy room and therapeutic materials effectively to enhance client engagement and treatment outcomes
  • Provide professional, compassionate, and culturally responsive care to children and families from diverse backgrounds
  • Communicate effectively with office staff regarding scheduling, client coordination, and administrative matters
  • Optionally provide additional in-person or virtual therapy sessions outside of the practice's primary after-school coverage needs

Primary need is after-school availability:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: approximately 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
  • Wednesday: after school up to approximately 8:30 PM (flexible end time)

Additional daytime hours may be available for providers who wish to offer extra in-person or virtual sessions from the office.
