Pay

Salaried grade 5, 8, or 10
$64,000 - $105,900 / year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Actual salaries may vary and in some cases may be higher with extensive experience and strong performance.

Exempt

This position is part of a career ladder that includes grades 5-11, indicating potential for advancement.

Schedule

1st Shift (Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)

Hybrid with minimum three days on-site per week

Job Summary

McKee Foods is seeking a Systems & Database Engineer to join our Security Operations & End User Engineering> team.

  • Opportunity to contribute to the improvement and maturation of Workspace ONE and Horizon environments

  • Influence how endpoint management, imaging, and application delivery are standardized

  • Identify gaps in the current environment and help implement practical, scalable solutions

  • Balance day-to-day operational responsibilities with continuous improvement efforts

  • Workspace & VDI Administration: Administer and maintain Workspace ONE, IGEL OS, and VMware Horizon environments, ensuring reliable and scalable delivery of virtual desktops and applications

  • Endpoint & Image Management: Build, maintain, and improve standard endpoint images for physical and virtual devices. Manage device provisioning, patching, and lifecycle activities.

  • Application Delivery: Package, deploy, and maintain applications across Workspace ONE and Horizon platforms, ensuring compatibility and performance.

  • Performance & Troubleshooting: Monitor system health and resolve performance, access, and stability issues impacting end users.

  • Security & Compliance: Apply endpoint security standards-including patching, device hardening, and access controls-in alignment with Security team policies. Support remediation efforts identified through security tools and assessments.

  • Automation & Continuous Improvement: Contribute to automating routine tasks and identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, and operational efficiency. Assist in implementing improvements that enhance the overall workspace environment.

  • Identity & Access Integration: Support authentication and access for workspace platforms by working with Active Directory, Group Policy (GPO), and Okta integrations, partnering with identity and security teams as needed.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with infrastructure, security, and application teams to resolve issues, share knowledge, and improve overall platform performance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience)

  • 2+ years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or end-user compute environments

  • Hands-on experience administering endpoint management or virtual desktop platforms (any enterprise solution)

  • Experience building and maintaining Windows endpoint images, including patching and system configuration

  • Working knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy (GPO)

  • Experience deploying and supporting enterprise applications

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across endpoints, VDI, and user access issues

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Workspace ONE UEM, VMware Horizon, or IGEL OS

  • Experience optimizing VDI environments (login times, profiles, performance tuning)

  • Familiarity with Okta or similar identity providers

  • Basic scripting experience (PowerShell or similar)

  • Understanding of endpoint security practices in enterprise environments

  • Experience working in large-scale or hybrid IT environments

  • Proven experience leveraging AI tools as a force multiplier for delivering quality research, building standard processes, and automating workflows.
