. WILL NEED TO GO ONSITE TO SF, LIVERMORE, SAN RAMON, OAKLAND OR DALY CITY AS PROJECT NEEDS. ASSIGNMENT IS HYBRID AND MAY NEED TO GO ONSITE 2-3 TIMES A WEEK TO VARIOUS LOCATIONS.

Responsibilities

* Design and develop instructor-led and on-the-job training for apprenticeships in the utilities industry.

* Leverage and apply established instructional design methodologies to assess stakeholder needs, analyze complex content, and evaluate delivered training.

* Develop learning materials for technical content, including hands-on practice activities, student guides, facilitator guides, scenarios, videos, assessments, simulations, and other instructional media.

* Perform a detailed task analysis for each job function, business process, or system for which training will be developed.

* Partner with cross-functional teams to conceptualize training design and content.

* Define learning objectives, and course structure aligned to stakeholder needs and to meet the constraints of the learning environment.

* Work under the direction of the Senior Instructional Designer to apply company standards, guidelines, and templates.

* Write clear and effective instructional text, audio, or video scripts appropriate for the target audience.

* Participate in milestone meetings with subject matter experts, including task analysis, alpha, beta, and train the trainer.

* Engage with subject matter experts for ongoing content review and validation.

* Receive and incorporate feedback.

* Self-manage assigned tasks and deadlines to complete deliverables.

* Proactively communicate issues and risks.

Required Skills

* 3+ years' experience developing instructor-led training and on-the-job tasks for technical skills.

* Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design and methodologies.

* Proven experience performing task analysis.

* Strong knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams.

* Demonstrated ability to execute and deliver against multiple competing deadlines, as needed.

Desired Skills

* Experience developing multi-year technical training programs for adult learners.

* Experience with QuestionMark, Author-It, and/or Storyline.

* CLIENT's Academy experience a plus.

Location

* Must be located in the CLIENT's territory.

* Monthly to quarterly travel is required to CLIENT locations.

* Occasional overnight stays may be necessary to support client meetings and project milestones.
