Inside the Role Processes product returns including opening and examining customer returns, preparing documentation and entering data into warranty system. Provides support for rapid problem solving as it relates to failed components. Monitors quality for Detroit products and provides feedback through the warranty system and cross functional teams. Initiate vendor recovery and corrective action through collaboration. Maintains minimum cycle time for material processing. We Take Care of Our Team Position offers a starting salary range of $58,000 - $75,000 USD Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, andexperience. What You Drive At DTNA Process returned warranty material and provide material disposition & analysis. Preparation and timely submissions of warranty inspection triage reports. Provide assistance to problem solving teams in identifying failure modes and providing root cause analysis. Assist in providing technical analysis and coordination for onsite joint inspections with the component supplier. Assist in developing technical component warranty evaluation documentation consistent with service and warranty documentation. Interface with internal departments, repair facilities and suppliers to gather information, report findings and develop documentation as needed. Attend meetings, as required, to assist in gathering information, reporting findings and assist in the decision making process concerning warranty claims issues. Establish a strong working relationships with all members of the problem solving teams. Determine test and equipment needs for the return material area. Perform engine tear down and inspection as needed. Maintain a work area that is within the TOS guidelines. Knowledge You Should Bring Requires 3 years of relevant experience OR AA degree + 1 year of relevant experience Ability to understand and communicate diesel engine components functions including proper usage and basic failure analysis is required. Strong written and verbal communication, as well as strong interpersonal and computer skills are required Strong mechanical aptitude, understanding of truck or automotive technology, product knowledge and working knowledge of PC-based software is required Must be well organized, detail and process oriented, have a high degree of initiative and the highest degree of integrity Must to able to lift 50lbs #LI-DC1 #LI-ONSITE Where We Work This position is open to applicants who can work in (or relocate to) the following location(s)- Detroit, MI US.
