Finishing Operator - St Stephen, SC

The Dryer Operator plays a major role in the final finishing stage of production of Press fabrics for use in the pulp and paper industry. Over time the incumbent is trained in a variety of distinct tasks each associated with the classification of a Finishing Operator.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Demonstrate the ability to assist in loading & unloading fabrics with a weight range of 40 -600 kilos at the Dryers & other finishing equipment.

* Read and comprehend sales orders and manufacturing instructions

* Computer knowledge

* Must be able to safely operate all equipment in the Finishing department, including but not limited to dryers, perches and blue line after training.

* Operate Forklift

* Able to load/unload heavy fabrics when necessary

* Must be cautious, quality minded, and able to recognize problems immediately

* Perform other duties as required by supervision.

* Cross-train to other processes

* Maintains work area/environment
