The Brand Marketing team at Wisconsin Athletics is seeking a dynamic and creative Digital Producer to lead content creation and storytelling in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role plays a key part in showcasing the experiences of UW student-athletes while supporting the department's mission to engage, inspire, and unite through sport.

In this role, you will:

- Conceptualize, shoot, edit, and produce engaging short- and long-form video content for Wisconsin Athletics' digital platforms

- Create content that supports social media, marketing, recruiting, ticketing, and development efforts

- Capture live events and produce timely content for social media

- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent brand voice and visual identity

- Contribute to various video projects across departments

- Support the development of content strategy and campaign planning

- Produce videoboard content to enhance the in-venue gameday experience

- Stay current with trends in digital media, social platforms, and fan engagement strategies

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Facilitates and secures resources for digital content creation workflow within a work unit or project and collaborates with other teams on both long-term and short-term multimedia projects
  • Serves as a liaison to internal and external stakeholders to promote strategy and establish partnerships
  • Participates in the development and conceptualization of strategies for one or many identified digital platforms
  • Trains staff on digital concepts, strategies, and techniques
  • Writes, edits, publishes, and integrates content on digital platforms that engages with audiences, including interviewing sources, researching topics, and assembling relevant multimedia elements
  • Develops and maintains reports of content metrics and informs identified stakeholders of changes and needs

Compensation:

The minimum starting salary will be $52,000, but is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience. There may be flexibility for highly qualified candidates.

Required Qualifications:

- Minimum 3-years' experience successfully working in a creative production environment

- Minimum 3-years' experience in developing creative social content that has driven engagement and results

- Proficient knowledge of video editing/production and videography

- Demonstrated experience creating platform specific video content

- Basic understanding of how all social platforms (Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn) and their communities work, including emerging platforms

- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

- Proven ability to collaborate with other content creators and stakeholders

- Creative and strategic in nature with the ability to think outside the box and articulate "big ideas"

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in sports industry, ideally in college athletics

- Experience with motion graphics creation

Education:

Bachelor's degree preferred

Conditions of Appointment: This is a 100% Academic Staff appointment. Salary will be assigned within the appropriate range, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.
