POSITION SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Microbiology Laboratory Manager, the laboratory support technician (LST) is responsible for providing quality customer oriented laboratory services including specimen processing and related specialized procedures, and service to effectively communicate information to users of the Laboratory Services in order to ensure the department is able to operate efficiently and to successfully fulfill its mission. LST's also provide training and guidance to less experienced laboratory support technicians. OTHER DUTIES: Performs other duties as needed. JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED: Phlebotomy Certification (ASCP) preferred. EXPERIENCE: One year of Phlebotomy, EKG, and/or specimen processing experience preferred Microbiology planting, plating and accessioning. Compensation Range: $20.12- $26.02This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications.
