As an Aircraft Engine Mechanic II at StandardAero's Houston MRO facility (IAH), you will put your skills and powerplant expertise to use performing overhauls, major inspections, and heavy maintenance on Honeywell TFE731 and CFE738 turbofan engines. What You'll Do:
- Utilize precision instruments such as micrometers, torque wrenches, and calipers to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair engines and APUs
- Navigate, research, and reference technical digital documents, OEM Light and Heavy Maintenance manuals.
- Perform routine maintenance and major inspections on Honeywell turbofan engines.
- Disassemble and re-assemble engines, adhering to OEM technical manual specifications.
- Remove and reinstall engines on aircraft for major periodic inspections and core zone inspections.
- Perform incoming and outgoing engine runs and line maintenance, as required.
- Evaluates removed components for serviceability and document discrepancies.
- Document all work accomplished in a clear, concise and accurate manner.
- Accomplishes Service Bulletins, Repair Letters and Airworthiness Directives.
- Participate in ongoing training initiatives on and off site through partners like CAE, FlightSafety, and Honeywell.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 year of experience performing heavy maintenance on turbine engines.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in an engine overhaul, military depot, or MRO environment.
- Must have a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States, without sponsorship.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
