Receiving Operator * Materials/Logs

Position Summary

Performs the tasks involved in the receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and/or equipment using the Spirax Sarco Inventory System.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Accurately receives inbound materials by verifying kind, count and condition of material received against purchase orders or invoices, bringing discrepancies in the order to the attention of supervision.
  • Ensure system transactions match the physical movements
  • Prepares components for storage from receiving dock. Puts materials received into storage locations in preparation for use.
  • Replenish Kanban's ensuring that the manufacturing process has the parts it needs
Other Job Functions
  • Ability to read packing lists, shop orders to determine order numbers, part numbers and applicable quantity. Demonstrates critical thinking to trouble shoot variances.
  • Accountable and responsible for all safety and environmental compliance as it relates to the position.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of general safety, security, and environmental regulations.
  • Adheres to 5S objectives
Job Requirements/Qualifications

Education: High School graduate or equivalent experience

  • 1+ years proven track record in a manufacturing environment.
  • Operate PIT forklift/Rider Reach high lifts and Counterbalance
Additional Skills
  • Computer literacy : ability to manage emails correspondences and communicate effectively
  • Experience with Demand Flow Technology (DFT) manufacturing
Certifications:

Forklift Certification preferred

Working Conditions:
  • Standing/Walking: >90%
  • Lifting: <35 lbs.
