At Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. The Construction Services team is seeking a dynamic professional who is willing to support the team and take an active part in making them successful.

A day in the life of a Contract Specialist may involve, but not limited to the following:

* Handles procurement actions from pre-planning through closeout independently, demonstrating specialized knowledge and expertise in procurement.
* Performs complex procurement functions across various contract types, requiring sophisticated analytical skills and advanced principles within the discipline.
* Evaluates Requests for Equitable Adjustments and administers complex contract actions, showing deep experience and ability to interpret internal/external issues.
* Prepares electronic documentation in accordance with business guides, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
* Works within established procurement policies and procedures, applying best practices and extensive technical expertise.
* Administers procurement actions post-commitment, involving routine monetary expenditure or risk, which reflects applying advanced concepts and ensuring informed supervision.
* Develops and administers Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contracts, integrating related disciplinary knowledge and solving complex problems.
* Participates in planning and coordination of pre-procurement activities, suggesting experience in leading functional teams or projects.
* Demonstrates aptitude and understanding necessary for procurement, applying advanced principles and technical expertise.
* Participates in available training and assists in development or revision of procurement tools and guides, contributing to process improvement and compliance.
* May participate in the development of procurement tools and providing feedback for the revision/updates to CPCCo Business Process Guides.


Basic Qualifications


* Senior Level Grade 18: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with 8 or more years of relevant experience.

* Senior Level Grade 19: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with 9 or more years of relevant experience.

The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.


Desired Qualifications


* Familiar with supply-chain management activities relating to construction services and fabrication contracts.
* Experience with routine tasks involving the formation of contracts and purchase orders, solicitations and administration.
* Experience with Requests for Equitable Adjustments.
* Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, to provide support to internal and external clients.
* Knowledge of procurement systems and processes.


Compensation & Benefits


In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.

Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week):

* Senior Level Grade 18: $94,750 - $151,800.

* Senior Level Grade 19: $104,200 - $166,650.

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
