What you'll do:

The Design Engineer is responsible for defining and developing the compressed air product for the U.S. market. This role leads the creation of all production drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation required to support product modification and full assembly operations. The position works closely with Product Management, global engineering teams, and operations to ensure designs are manufacturable, compliant, and scalable.

Essential functions & responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Product Management and global engineering teams to define the full product line for the USA market.
  • Create and maintain complete production drawing packages, including GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and supporting documentation.
  • Develop and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs), revision control, and product configuration structures.
  • Ensure designs meet U.S. regulatory and compliance requirements (UL, ASME, etc., as applicable).
  • Support the operations team by ensuring designs are optimized for assembly, modification, and manufacturability.
  • Participate in testing, validation, and product performance verification activities.
  • Work with sourcing to define and approve components and supplier specifications.
  • Drive continuous improvement through feedback from operations, service, and field performance.
Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial equipment design and product engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in 3D CAD and drawing creation (Inventor and AutoCAD preferred) .
  • Experience developing production drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation for assembly.
  • Knowledge of compressed air systems, rotating equipment, or packaged systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with UL, ASME, and related standards is a strong plus.
  • Strong collaboration skills across product management, operations, and supply chain.
  • Ability to operate in a startup/greenfield environment with high ambiguity.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time as needed.
