Description
$25.00 - $29.00 hourly Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Processing biweekly payroll, including compilation of time-keeping records for payroll submission, processing personnel changes as well as preparing and issuing manual checks.
- Coordinating data which impacts payroll from Human Resources and the payroll and time management systems.
- Reporting, data entry, and maintaining payroll files for all employees.
- Analyze and review UltiPro Time Management System for accuracy.
- Analyze and review payroll data in UltiPro Payroll/HR System for accuracy.
- Create positive pay files.
- Create, run and analyze payroll reports as needed.
- Process correct garnishment calculations and maintain compliance.
- Answer routine telephone inquiries concerning payroll.
- Maintain internal procedural documentation for new procedures or changes to processes.
- Remain current on new legislation and regulatory ruling impacting payroll, garnishments, taxes and FLSA regulations including proper taxation regarding employer and employee-paid benefits.
- Responsible for assisting in all month, quarter, and year end payroll processing.
- Support teammates in Payroll, Human Resource, and Finance and across other departments.
Job Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years of payroll experience required.
- BS or BA in accounting, business or equivalent training and experience preferred.
- FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) or CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
- Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization and the general public.
