You will bridge the gap between robust on-prem systems and cutting-edge Cloud environments, ensuring our business partners have the seamless, high-performance tools they need to make world-class decisions.

What You'll Do

  • Architect & Scale: Lead the infrastructure planning and scaling for BI platforms across hybrid-cloud environments, ensuring high availability and peak performance.
  • Innovate & Automate: Move beyond manual maintenance by leveraging automation (Puppet, Python) to streamline deployments and security protocols.
  • Consult & Partner: Act as a subject matter expert for internal teams, advising on platform optimization and best-in-class integration strategies.
  • Secure & Standardize: Set the gold standard for engineering quality and security, ensuring our data ecosystem is both agile and impenetrable.
  • Future-Proof: Research and evaluate emerging software capabilities, keeping Travelers at the forefront of the BI landscape.

Your Technical Toolkit

  • BI Expertise: Deep experience with enterprise platforms (specifically Power BI, Qlik Sense/Cloud, or MicroStrategy).
  • Platform Engineering: A strong grasp of Windows-based OS, system integrations, and Cloud service architectures.
  • Enterprise Security: Proven ability to manage LDAP/AD integrations and complex security configurations at scale.
  • Automation Mindset: Comfort with scripting (Python) and orchestration tools (Puppet, Autosys) to drive efficiency.
  • Problem Solver: A knack for debugging complex technical hurdles through independent research or vendor collaboration.

Who You Are

  • A Continuous Learner: You don't wait for a training manual; you have a demonstrated ability to self-teach and master new technologies.
  • A Bridge Builder: You excel at translating complex technical needs into business value and building strong relationships with vendors and stakeholders.
  • A Mentor: You enjoy sharing your knowledge and elevating the skills of those around you in a collaborative environment.
