Regional HRBP Manager

The Regional HR Business Partner Manager will serve as the back-up to the Vice President, Manager of HRBPs in their absence and have leadership and management responsibility over HR personnel/functions in assigned region(s) of the Bank. The Reg. HR Business Partner Manager will also maintain a workload of assigned business units, partnering with business unit leaders, managers, and HR stakeholders to provide coaching, consultation, and training on the alignment of business and people strategies while enhancing talent optimization, employee relations, and performance management. A successful Reg. HR Business Partner Manager utilizes critical and strategic thinking to enhance organizational effectiveness and acts as a change agent for the Bank.

Education and Experience Requirements:

*Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university. Commensurate work experience may substitute for education.
*Seven (7) years of general Human Resources experience is required
*Four (4) years of experience in the capacity of an HR Business Partner, HR Manager/Director, HR Officer, Employee Relations Manager/Consultant, Senior HR Generalist, or equivalent role.
*A minimum of two (2) years' direct supervisory experience is required.
*Experience in a Banking or other financial services organization strongly preferred

Certificate, Licenses and Registration Requirements:

*A professional HR certification is required (SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR, etc.). If a professional HR certification has not yet been earned, the candidate must agree to complete all requirements (at the company's expense) to earn a certification within the first year of employment.
*A valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle is required

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:

*Effective time management and prioritization skills to balance employee relations needs, leader support, compliance requirements, and project work.
*Proven skills in the areas of leadership development, employee relations, conflict resolution, performance management, and talent optimization.
*Operational knowledge of federal, state, and local legislation regarding personnel management and labor laws.
*Ability to effectively communicate verbally, with an emphasis on active listening skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
*Ability to effectively communicate in writing including professional communications, employment documentation, training content, presentations, and other business-related communications.
*A high level of confidentiality, discretion, and integrity.
*Proven ability to utilize critical thinking and problem-solving to navigate complex employee relations issues to deliver reasoned and balanced solutions.
*Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Proficiency with HRIS, HR Dashboards, HR software, etc.
*Hands-on approach; comfortable occasionally completing some administrative-level HR tasks.
*Experience with change management methodologies and practices
*Proven understanding and effectiveness in the following HR Business Partner competencies: Business Knowledge, Analytical Thinking, Problem Solving, Communication, Systemic Thinking, Ambiguity, Adaptability, Organization, Teamwork, Insight, Risk Management, and Dollar Bank's Mission, Vision & Values.

Essential Functions:

Team Leadership and Management
*Lead, coach, and develop a team of HRBPs supporting retail, back-office, and/or corporate functions.
*Ensure the consistent application of HR policies, employment practices, and employee relations standards across all assigned business units and region(s).
*Exercise approval authority over investigations, disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, etc. within assigned region(s).
*Assist with the development, implementation, and assessment of strategic HRBP initiatives, projects, functions, goals, etc.
*Serve as back-up to the VP, Manager of HRBPs in their absence (vacation, leave, etc.), and assist in the facilitation of HR Management Training and the development of additional content as needed.

Employee Relations

*Provide coaching, consultation, and teaching/training to managers and employees addressing areas including; performance management, productivity and efficiency, conflict resolution, progressive discipline/corrective action, and engagement.
*Assist in the development, implementation, and administration of Bank-wide policies, procedures, and programs, and ensure consistent application across the organization.
*Ensure that the Bank has an inclusive environment in alignment with the Bank's Mission, Vision, and Values that engages all employees, respects diversity, prevents discrimination, rewards excellence, and is compliant with applicable labor laws.
*Investigate, assess, and track employee disciplinary actions and guide managers on the proper execution of employee disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans.
*Analyze data and reports to recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of HR and assigned Business Units.

Performance Management/Talent Optimization

*Provide on-going coaching, consulting, training, and guidance to direct reports, as well as Bank leaders, on overall employee performance (evaluations, PIPs, etc.).
*Assist managers with determining training and development needs for individuals/teams while planning, creating, and facilitating teaching/training opportunities for individuals, teams, and business units.
*Advise on performance reviews and pay/wage issues to include promotions, transfers, merit increases, and salary adjustments.
*Work with leaders to develop plans and action steps designed to achieve performance objectives, improve productivity, and increase profitability.

General Administration

*Exercise sound and reasoned judgment while maintaining confidentiality with critical and sensitive information, records, reports, etc.
*Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
*Take on special projects, event planning, and other assignments as required.
*Understand, interpret, and apply general administrative and departmental policies and procedures.
*All employees have the responsibility and the accountability to serve as risk managers for their businesses by understanding, reporting, responding to, managing, and monitoring the risk they encounter daily as required by Dollar Bank's risk management program. Compliance with regulatory laws and company procedures is a required component of all position descriptions.
*Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

*Achieve results by motivating and stimulating team members; promote commitment to common goals by communicating team vision and mission.
*Work with employees to identify development opportunities and create career development plans.
*Coach and mentor employees on their strengths and areas for improvement, providing constructive feedback.
*When needed, select talented individuals from inside and outside of the Bank, hiring individuals whose capabilities match the needs of the organization in a timely and prudent manner.
