As part of our Architecture practice at HDR, you'll contribute to the design and delivery of spaces and experiences that advance community well-being around the world. In the role of Planner 2, we'll count on you to:

  • Independently collect, assimilate and manage land use planning, urban design and landscape design project-related data
  • Prepare constraints mapping and required documents
  • Assist in preparation and participation of public information meetings and hearings
  • Prepare conceptual and schematic designs for residential and mixed-use buildings of all types
  • Prepare detailed urban designs for public spaces of all types
  • Prepare high-quality illustrations for master plans and specific plans
  • Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Urban Planning or related field

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning or closely related field
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in planning and design
  • AICP certification desired
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
  • Extensive graphics and report document production experience
  • Experience with GIS
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Leadership skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • May require the ability to travel
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
