This position develops, tests, maintains and enhances business applications as a member of the Digital Services development team, and works with the entire team to ensure development conforms to acceptance criteria. This position works with technical and business product owners, developers, and quality analysts to drive value delivery and will participate in all phases of Agile software development.

*Flexible remote position with occasional travel to Grand Rapids MI corporate office. Must reside in our six-state footprint (MI, IL, OH, WI, KY or IN) or willing to relocate to one of these states for employment eligibility. *

What You'll be Doing:

  • Designs, codes, tests, and deploys technology solutions
  • Performs unit tests, monitors results, and takes required corrective actions as needed.
  • Interfaces with the business and technology partners to define functional and non-functional requirements and ensure they are met
  • Developsand designswith quality, security, and support mindset
  • Partners as needed with quality and site reliability engineers
  • Works within industry standard software development lifecycle methodologies based on department and project needs
  • Leadsstructured walkthroughs, secure coding, and technical reviews ensuring application coding and design follows secure coding and design principles
  • Assistsin the production support and maintenance of applications
  • Creates system documentation according to Meijer standards
  • Performs feasibility studies/proofs of concept to evaluate solutions
  • Drivesinnovation and proposingnew technologiesor solutions
  • Mentorsandcoaches'junior engineers

What You Bring with You (Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working within a standard agile framework
  • Experience working with relevant development tools,codingand scripting languages
  • Strong analytical and technical documentation skills in designing solutions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and cross functionally
  • Demonstrate curiosity and abilityto effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs
  • Holdsself-accountableto set and meet commitments

The pay range for this position is listed below.

$88,500.00 - $138,000.00

This pay range represents the minimum and maximum base pay for the position, which is determined by factors such as market data, the qualifications required, the level of responsibilities associated with the role and other roles at this same level. Your specific pay rate within this range will be based on your experience, qualifications, and skills compared to the internal team you'll be joining.
