SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting Senior Analyst

This role will focus heavily on SEC reporting and technical accounting, including ownership and maintenance of financial reporting and consolidation systems. The position will partner closely across accounting, finance, tax, treasury, legal, and audit teams while supporting quarterly and annual reporting requirements. The role offers strong visibility across the organization and long-term growth potential within the finance function.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings, including 10-Qs and 10-Ks
  • Support SEC compliance efforts and stay current on evolving disclosure requirements and comment letter trends
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors throughout the reporting cycle
  • Maintain and manage reporting documentation and filings within financial reporting systems, including XBRL support
  • Perform technical accounting research and draft accounting memos related to new guidance and business changes
  • Support month-end close activities, including review of journal entries and reconciliations
  • Partner cross-functionally with Treasury, Tax, Legal, and other finance teams on reporting matters
  • Assist with SOX compliance efforts related to corporate accounting and external reporting
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 4+ years of accounting and/or financial reporting experience
  • CPA preferred
  • SEC reporting experience within public accounting and/or industry
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and research capabilities
  • Experience with financial reporting and consolidation systems such as Workiva, OneStream, or similar platforms preferred
  • ERP experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Self-starter with a process improvement mindset and ability to work independently

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
