About the Role
We are seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist to join our Gore Business System (GBS) team and support operational excellence within our manufacturing environment in PharmBIO. In this role, you will partner closely with our manufacturing and operations teams to identify opportunities, streamline processes and support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. As a GBS Specialist, you will learn and apply Gore Business System principles to collaborate with, influence, and coach teams to optimize processes and solve critical problems. Your work will be essential in delivering sustainable results and advancing our mission to improve more lives. This position will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland, with the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement 1 day per week. Pay and Benefits:
- $73,000 - $85,000 per year

Responsibilities
- Support Gore Business Systems (GBS) implementation across PharmBIO, with a primary focus in manufacturing
- Facilitate teams in Kaizen and rapid process-improvement, from problem identification through solution implementation and successful monitoring
- Utilize data, best practices, and prior
- Continuous Improvement deployment experience to identify performance gaps, work with local leaders to develop and execute improvement plans
- Utilize a structured problem-solving approach to analyze current conditions, identify improvement opportunities, and deploy appropriate Lean tools to resolve
- Coach others to create and execute methods to promote desired process-improvement behavior
- Support development and delivery of GBS tools and training content
- Continuously expand knowledge of process improvement through external benchmarking
- Actively support diversity, equity, and inclusion in alignment with Gore's Culture and Principles
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
- A minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience driving continuous improvement, Lean and/or Six Sigma work
- Experience prioritizing, planning and driving multiple projects concurrently from development to completion against agreed upon timelines and deliverables
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to transparently communicate and relate to people at all levels of the organization
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to leverage structured problem solving to get to root cause
- Ability to facilitate Kaizen, diverse problem solving and improvement events
- Ability to support and coach Daily Management practices (e.g., visual performance metrics, daily huddles, and issue escalation)
- Ability to coach, lead and influence both individually and broadly across the division (including leading leaders)
- Ability to develop and deliver effective training materials, simulations, and exercises
- Travel up to 10%
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering
- Experience in a Manufacturing/Operations function
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
