As a Product Owner IV, you are responsible for maximizing the value delivered by an agile product team or product area, owning execution from discovery through delivery and iteration. This role focuses on translating product vision and strategy into clear, actionable, and well sequenced work, ensuring the team consistently solves the highest value problems for customers and the business.

You operate as a senior individual contributor with strong autonomy in backlog ownership and delivery decisions. You partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Design, and operational stakeholders to ensure solutions are usable, scalable, and aligned with real world workflows. This is a highly collaborative, hands on role for someone who thrives in agile environments and brings structure, clarity, and momentum to complex product initiatives.



Your Impact

Product Backlog Ownership and Prioritization

    Own and continuously refine the product backlog for a defined product area or capability set.
  • Write high quality user stories, define acceptance criteria, and ensure backlog items are execution
  • Prioritize work based on customer value, business impact, delivery risk, and dependencies.
  • Proactively manage scope trade offs to maintain delivery predictability and outcomes.

Translate Strategy into Execution

  • Partner with Product Managers and business stakeholders to deeply understand product vision, goals, and success metrics.
  • Decompose complex initiatives into incremental, value driven deliverables.
  • Ensure sprint goals and delivery plans align with strategic intent and near term priorities.

Agile Delivery Leadership

  • Serve as the primary product voice for the development team.
  • Lead backlog refinement and actively participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Make timely, informed decisions to unblock delivery and resolve scope, priority, or requirements questions.

Discovery, Validation, and Iteration

  • Lead and support discovery activities including customer interviews, workflow mapping, and requirements definition.
  • Collaborate with Design and Engineering to validate ideas using prototypes, betas, experiments, and data.
  • Incorporate learnings into backlog refinement and prioritization to continuously improve outcomes.

Measure Impact and Optimize Value

  • Define and track success metrics such as adoption, activation, retention, usability, and workflow efficiency.
  • Support release readiness including documentation, enablement, and go to market coordination.
  • Evaluate post launch performance and drive iterative improvements based on data and feedback.

Cross Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate with manufacturing, clinical, operational, and technical teams to ensure solutions are practical and scalable.
  • Manage cross team dependencies and communicate priorities, progress, and risks transparently.
  • Escalate delivery or scope risks appropriately while proposing actionable mitigation options.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, or similar agile delivery role
  • Extensive hands on experience working with agile product teams
  • 3+ years delivering SaaS or workflow driven products in production environments
  • Proven ability to translate strategy into executable plans and prioritized backlogs
  • Strong judgment in making feature level prioritization and scope trade off decisions
  • Experience partnering closely with Engineering and Design on delivery execution
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Aha!, Lucid, Azure DevOps, or similar
  • Ability to convert ambiguous or complex needs into clear, well scoped requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver's license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.
