We are currently seeking a Acquisition Specialist, Junior to support our PMA-281 customer in Patuxent River, MD customer. Primarily supporting the Collaborative Mission Planning Continuum (CMPC) IPT. The position emphasizes supporting digital transformation initiatives, leveraging the USN's approved Microsoft environment, and utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) tools to enhance program efficiency and decision-making. This role requires in-person support.

Duties:



  • Support, analyze, provides input, and prepare briefs, reports, peer reviews, milestone decisions and review boards.
  • Support team development and management of program documentation (e.g, Acquisition Strategy, SOWs, Technical Evaluations) with digital tools.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, coordinate, attend and participate in IPT meetings such as Interim Program Reviews (IPRs), Program Management Reviews (PMRs), Product Owner Sync, Program Increments (PIs), technical interchange meetings, and other meetings as required/directed and prepare and distribute meeting minutes and action items.
  • Update & provide brief templates.
  • Collect briefs; Organize and compile slides in external Teams folders & OneNote.
  • Utilize digital tools to collect and perform analysis on program data and documentation including fiscal planning documentation, reporting, and performance metrics including support for tracking of cost, schedule and performance indicators, critical path review and risk analysis.
  • Data entry and management of data in the Common Spend Plan Tool (CSPT), Program Management Tool (PMT).
  • Review program progress and track status of vendor critical contract deadlines to identify and report potential problems and/or issues with prime contractor schedule conflicts, resource scarcity, and proposed solutions.
  • Provide analyses of requirements and schedules and evaluate changes to schedules and associated milestones to ensure compatibility with overall program objectives.
  • Provide data analysis in support of program execution, spend plan development, out-year planning, and the creation of POM issue sheets.
  • Utilize all USN-approved Microsoft 365 tools (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, Power BI, Power Automate) for collaboration, workflow automation, and data visualization.


Desired Qualifications:

Required Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in business, information management, engineering support, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Allowable substitution:



  • Four (4) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for an Associate's Degree. OR
  • Six (6) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.


Required Experience:



  • Less than three (3) years of relevant experience supporting DoD or federal acquisition programs.


Desired Qualifications:



  • Data visualizations
  • Exposure to AI/ML tools or data analytics platforms
  • Knowledge of Agile or Lean process improvement methodologies
  • Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, or similar automation tools
  • Familiarity with NAVAIR data management policy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
  • Experience supporting DoD, Navy, NAVAIR acquisition programs, processes, and required documentation
  • Experience with the associated NAVAIR business tools for program execution: CSPT, CDRL, PMT


Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $45,000 -$65,000 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems' total compensation package.
