The Lead Analyst, OT Infrastructure & Compliance is responsible for supporting and operating AES US Renewables OT infrastructure environments with a focus on system reliability, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance. This role provides advanced technical support for datacenter and virtualization platforms and supports NERC CIP compliance activities and patch and vulnerability management across NERCrated environments.

The position requires strong technical depth, disciplined documentation practices, and the ability to work independently on complex infrastructure and compliancedriven initiatives while collaborating across IT, OT, Cybersecurity, and Operations teams.

Primary Responsibilities

Infrastructure Engineering & Operations

  • Administer and support enterprise OT infrastructure environments, including:

  • Windows Server and desktop operating systems

  • Active Directory, file services, permissions, DNS, and DHCP

  • Windows Clustering, Hyper V, and VMware platforms

  • Microsoft Remote Desktop Services and Omnissa Horizon

  • Linux operating systems

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for infrastructure incidents

  • Maintain system documentation and standards

NERC CIP Compliance Support

  • Support NERC CIP requirements

  • Maintain compliance documentation, evidence, and system inventories aligned to CIP standards

  • Ensure infrastructure configurations and operational practices align with AES cybersecurity and compliance expectations

Patch & Vulnerability Management

  • Execute patch and vulnerability management activities for infrastructure systems within NERC rated and secure environments

  • Test, document, and implement software and firmware updates in accordance with compliance requirements

  • Track vulnerabilities, remediation actions, and patch status for audit readiness

  • Support scheduled maintenance windows and controlled change processes

  • Proactively reduce operational and cybersecurity risk through lifecycle management

Project & Team Collaboration

  • Participate in infrastructure and compliance related projects (e.g., virtualization, monitoring, datacenter upgrades)

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners during implementation and maintenance activities

  • Contribute to infrastructure standards, procedures, and continuous improvement efforts

  • Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree (Information Technology / Computer Science/Engineering) preferred or equivalent with relevant work experience required.

5+ years' experience to include:

  • IT infrastructure administration and engineering

  • Strong knowledge of Server Operating Systems, virtualization platforms, networking, and datacenter operations

  • Experience working in regulated or compliance driven environments

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple technical responsibilities

  • Physical ability to lift and maintain 70 LBS for short period of time

  • Ability to climb a ladder over 4 feet

  • Have reliable transportation

  • Able to travel up to 25%

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience supporting NERC CIP compliance

  • Experience with patching and vulnerability management in regulated environments

  • Familiarity with IT/OT environments

  • Knowledge of AES infrastructure standards and operational practices
