The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs Southeastern Veterans Center is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker who enjoys helping others in a meaningful way. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports daily meal preparation, food service, and sanitation to ensure residents receive safe and nutritious meals. As a Food Service Worker, you will perform the following duties:
- Food Preparation: Prepare, plate, and portion food and beverages for meals and nourishments
- Tray Assembly: Set up carts, read diet codes, and assemble accurate resident trays
- Serving Support: Deliver trays, stock items, and assist with serving operations
- Sanitation Tasks: Clean dishes, equipment, dining rooms, and food preparation areas
- Record Keeping: Record temperatures, inventory usage, and meal counts as required
- Safety Compliance: Use required protective equipment and follow all safety procedures

- Full-time employment, 8 hours per day, 80 hours biweekly.
- Work hours are 2nd shift (11:30 AM to 8:00 PM), rotating days and weekends, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

- Previous food service worker experience
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
