DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this Administrative Assistant 1, you will support essential administrative, budgetary, and program review functions within the Division of Federal Programs. Our team will rely on your strong attention to detail, ability to interpret program guidelines and financial information, and effective communication skills to support stakeholders across multiple regions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Application Review: Directly review LEA consolidated applications, including budgets and budget revisions, for completeness, accuracy, and fiscal compliance
- Technical Guidance: Provide LEAs with technical assistance in completing required components and advice on program requirements to help ensure funds are distributed equally
- Budgeting Oversight: Monitor the processing of final expenditure reports; check budgets and budget revisions, coding, and processes for accuracy and compliance with all requirements
- Data Reporting: Assist in compiling reports and verifying data related to single audit findings, analyzing information to determine fiscal compliance or noncompliance, and summarizing findings for the Regional Coordinator
- Communication Liaison: Facilitate mutual understanding and cooperation with LEAs and across division and bureau lines; support the delivery of workshops and training sessions

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. This position currently reports to the office on Tuesday each week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $45,907 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
