Nursing Unit Secretary - NICU MaineHealth | Maine Medical Center Unit Bio: The NICU/CCN in The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital is a 51 bed level lll-lV unit. This is the largest ICU in the state of Maine. We have single rooms with state-of-the-art equipment and work closely with all disciplines- surgical, cardiac, GI, genetics, renal, palliative care etc. We have Neonatologists and APP's covering 24/7 with a nursing staff of 150. We have an active critical care transport team and a nurse driven PICC Team.Neonatal Intensive Care Unit -31 beds & Continuing Care Nursery - 20 Beds Summary: The Nursing Unit Secretary role performs clerical, receptionist, and transporter duties. This role has the responsibility for advanced unit involvement in projects and house-wide activities. Strong candidates for this position will possess excellent customer service skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to communicate with team members, as well as patients and their families effectively.
