Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineering Project Manager to join our growing transportation practice in Bridgeport, West Virginia. This is an opportunity for an experienced transportation leader to leverage their technical expertise, project leadership, client relationships, and business development skills while helping shape the future growth of CEC's transportation practice throughout the region.

Our Bridgeport office is one of the region's largest multidisciplinary engineering offices, bringing together more than 130 engineers, scientists, surveyors, and technical professionals. In this role, you'll collaborate with experts across multiple disciplines while supporting a diverse portfolio of municipal, WVDOH, DOT, and private development transportation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

    Lead and mentor a team of engineers and project managers in the successful delivery of complex transportation engineering projects.
  • Provide technical leadership and perform QA/QC reviews to ensure high-quality project deliverables.
  • Oversee project contracts, budgets, schedules, and financial performance while driving successful project outcomes.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for practice growth through business development, marketing initiatives, and strategic client engagement.
  • Develop new client relationships while strengthening and expanding existing partnerships throughout the transportation market.
  • Maintain an active presence within the engineering and transportation community to support CEC's visibility and growth.
  • Support staff development through mentoring, performance management, succession planning, and professional growth initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, agencies, and stakeholders, including participation in public meetings, hearings, and technical presentations.
  • Lead project financial management activities, including AR/WIP oversight and resolution of complex project-related issues.
  • Contribute to the continued growth, strategy, and long-term success of CEC's transportation practice throughout West Virginia and the surrounding region.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering (or related) is required
  • 12+ years of experience in the Transportation/Highway/Roadway Engineering sector is required
  • Professional Engineer licensure (P.E.) is required
  • Experience designing and performing quality assurance using OpenRoads, Civil 3D, and/or InRoads is required
  • Expertise in scope of service and budget (proposal) development, and demonstrated ability to direct projects profitably
  • Proven Business Development/Client Management experience is preferred
