Responsibilities

The Milieu Manager is responsible for supervision of milieu operations to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment, appropriate staffing, and execution of scheduled programming on patient care units. Responsible for milieu supervision, education, training, and mentoring to Mental Health Technicians. Coordinates new employee post-hire onboarding process. Provides input and recommendations on patient programs. Responsible for coordinating the scheduling needs of Mental Health Technicians including the assignment of pool and float staff to cover vacancies and maintain staffing requirements. Provides direct care and supervision of patients, ensuring a safe, educational, and therapeutic environment. Acts as a role model for Mental Health Technicians and patients. Coordinates and ensures coverage of on-call rotation and provides backup on-call coverage as needed. Perform duties in accordance with the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care, and facility mission, values, policies, and behavioral standards.

Schedule: (4) 10hr shifts/wk: 9:30am - 8pm (30min meal break) = 40hr/wk

Qualifications

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience working with a psychiatric patient population required
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalentrequired
  • Teaching/training experience preferred
