The Senior Digital Forensics Consultant is expected to manage client engagements from initiation through completion, mentor junior team members, ensure adherence to forensic standards and internal policies, and contribute to practice development initiatives. This position combines hands-on forensic analysis, client-facing responsibilities, project leadership, and continuous professional growth to deliver high-quality investigative outcomes in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize industry-standard forensic tools and methodologies to recover, process, and analyze digital artifacts including deleted files, internet activity, communications, logs, and cloud-based evidence
  • Prepare, review, and present detailed forensic reports, findings, and presentations for clients, attorneys, and internal stakeholders
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for engagement teams and clients throughout investigative matters
  • Manage multiple concurrent engagements while ensuring deadlines, quality standards, and client expectations are met
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior consultants and assist in training and knowledge-sharing initiatives
  • Ensure forensic processes comply with legal, regulatory, and industry standards
  • Identify investigative risks, technical issues, and escalation items while proactively recommending solutions
  • Support business development efforts, client relationship management, and practice growth initiatives as needed
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, forensic tools, threat trends, and investigative methodologies
  • Complete and maintain required annual training, certifications, and continuing professional education

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, or related technical field required
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the digital forensics field
  • Experience conducting forensic collections and examinations across computers, mobile devices, and cloud-based platforms
  • Strong understanding of forensic principles, evidence handling, and chain of custody procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical audiences
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and process-driven
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and changing priorities in fast-paced environments
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Professional demeanor, client-service mindset, and ability to collaborate effectively within teams
  • Experience following and maintaining forensically sound investigative processes

Preferred Qualifications:
