Position Title:Imaging Care Associate PRN Department:Adult Diagnostic X-Ray Job Description:

General Description:

The Imaging Care Associate PRN supports the Imaging team in providing excellent patient care.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Prepares patients for testing and/or procedures including patient positioning.

  • Transports patients as requested.

  • Responds to inquiries from patients and family members.

  • Collaborates with team members across OU Health to provide exceptional patient care.

  • Cleans, disinfects and organizes to provide a welcoming environment for patients.

  • Assists with scheduling and other clerical tasks.

  • Assists with data entry, patient records, documentation and filing.

General Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience: At least 1 year of patient care experience required.

License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to provide exceptional service and care to patients.

  • Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to the imaging/radiology discipline.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to follow HIPAA guidelines and standards.

  • Ability to prioritize and complete clinical or non-clinical work assignments

  • Ability to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations

  • Ability to work as part of a diverse team and communicate effectively with others.

  • Displays consistency and dependability by reporting to work as scheduled.

  • Ability to be sensitive to patients' physical and psychological needs.

  • Ability to maintain accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes.

  • Ability and desire to learn and grow in the Imaging profession.
