Location:Lee Memorial Hospital -2776 Cleveland Ave Fort Myers FL 33901 Department: Lab - Donor Svs Work Type: Full Time Shift: Shift 1/6:00:00 AM to 6:00:00 PM Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$20.50 - $24.09 / hour SummaryThe Lead Blood Center Collections Tech is responsible for a variety of clinical and clerical functions to support the day-to-day operation of Donor Services. Clinical duties include drawing blood from volunteer blood donors, interacting with prospective donors, providing information about blood donation, screening donors by conducting a mini-physical and medical history interview, drawing blood according to specific procedures, administering post-donation care, and working with nursing staff to provide appropriate care for donors who may experience reactions during or following their donation. Completes detailed documents and records pertaining to the donation. Drives blood mobile to blood drives and maintains appropriate vehicle logs. Clerical duties include phone reception, printing reports, operation of office equipment such as fax machines and printers, in addition to basic computer skills in the blood bank information system. Requirements Educational RequirementsEducation:High School diploma or equivalent Experience RequirementsExperience:1 year of phlebotomy and blood center experience. Certification:American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS). License:Current and valid drivers license Other:Good communication and interpersonal skills required. Excellent customer service skills, ability to multi-task, problem solve and work independently. Basic knowledge of computers, data entry and retrieval.Detail oriented. US:FL:Fort Myers | |
