Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Sales Assistant in
Salem, Virginia. The Sales Assistant position is responsible for performing administrative duties associated with projects and general office tasks, including but not limited to - printing, copying, scanning, processing invoices, utilizing Docusign, etc. The Assistant also performs seasonal pricing updates in the ERP, downloading and filtering reports, and communicating with service on all new inventory arrivals. Seeking candidates with previous experience in an administrative role; High school diploma or equivalent; Previous sales support experience a plus.
Requirements for the Sales Assistant position include:
Physical requirements must be met for the Assistant job, including regularly being required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
