Job Summary

The Systems Integration and Test Engineer is responsible for planning, implementing, testing, documenting, and maintaining solutions for the integration and testing of complex subsystems and systems. This role supports the full system lifecycle by translating customer requirements into effective test solutions while balancing technical, schedule, and cost constraints. The engineer develops test strategies, resolves hardware and software integration issues, validates system performance, and ensures successful integration of system components through comprehensive testing and analysis.

Job Responsibilities



  • Plan, implement, test, document, and maintain subsystem and system integration solutions.
  • Analyze customer contractual requirements and translate them into effective test and integration strategies.
  • Establish functional and technical specifications, standards, and testing methodologies.
  • Identify and resolve hardware and software interface issues.
  • Define system input and output parameters to ensure proper subsystem and system integration.
  • Review and evaluate requirements for testability and system verification.
  • Develop test programs, procedures, and protocols for subsystem and system-level testing.
  • Coordinate testing activities with program teams, engineering groups, and other stakeholders.
  • Execute integration, verification, validation, and regression testing activities.
  • Analyze test results and identify system deficiencies, anomalies, and performance issues.
  • Prepare detailed subsystem and system-level evaluation reports validating system performance.
  • Document test findings and create discrepancy reports for identified issues.
  • Verify and validate software updates, component modifications, and corrective actions through regression testing.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to integration and test processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with established engineering standards, quality requirements, and program objectives.


Job Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of systems integration, verification, validation, and testing methodologies.
  • Experience developing and executing system and subsystem test procedures.
  • Knowledge of hardware and software integration principles.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Experience preparing technical reports, discrepancy reports, and test documentation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment.


Work Experience



  • Mid-Level Engineer: Minimum 4-6 years of experience in systems integration, testing, verification, validation, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Senior Engineer: Minimum 14 years of experience in systems integration, testing, verification, validation, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience working with complex systems, subsystems, hardware/software integration, and test execution is required.
