Onsite Field Service Technician at a Semiconductor company servicing our Chemical, Slurry or Gas distribution equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Support a wide range of product lines (specialty gas and chemical and slurry) and the opportunity to contribute across those product lines based on project needs.

  • Strong understanding of a range of technical processes or procedures (or deep skills in a single area) built through job-related training and meaningful work experience.

  • Complete a variety of atypical assignments.

  • Work within defined technical processes and procedures or methodologies and may help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments.

  • Maintain and install equipment where intermediate to advanced technical skills are utilized in hooking up, commissioning, testing, retrofitting, maintaining, and resolving system pathways for chemical delivery equipment.

  • Install and debug software and controls collaboratively.

  • Collect data and perform analysis on equipment to understand and diagnose maintenance needs.

  • Identify technical opportunities and implements solutions within the scope of capability to fully understand and safely implement repairs.

  • Connect with appropriate people within the organization to resolve more complex situations.

  • Partner with customers both internal and external to identify issues and resolve them together.

  • Complete tasks in a timely manner that advances goals and ensures a seamless, efficient experience for both the customer and AES.

  • Analyze means of repair and ensures appropriate secondary planning to minimize any interruption to customer processes.

  • Foster an understanding of and the ability to operate and install auxiliary equipment: Chemical/Slurry Systems: particle counters, flow meters, sampling systems, analytical equipment (assay, etc...), and system options as appropriate. Gas Systems: gas analyzers, flow meters, flow control valves, regulators, LSS.

  • Solve problems that are often complex in scope and require thoughtful judgment and technical capabilities as well as excellent customer relations skills.

  • Nurture sensitivity to customer concerns and future business prospects.

  • Provide the Voice of the Customer to internal audiences and helps the internal organization understand the needs and desires of our customers.

  • Assist in training and supporting customer personnel.

  • Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary to meet the needs of internal and external customers.

  • Enjoy a high degree of trust and autonomy, with oversight focused primarily on complex new assignments.

  • Mentor and support colleagues with less experience to foster a collaborative learning environment.

Required Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED

  • 2+ years of related work experience

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics

  • Controls and controls technology including the ability to debug controls, software problems, and install software

  • Ability to use math and computer skills to analyze data

  • Knowledge of commonly used business software and technical software specific to our equipment

  • Ability to use appropriate hand or power tools and solid knowledge of appropriate work practices and safe work procedures

  • Ability to speak distinctly and see and hear clearly

  • Ability to work in a clean-room environment

  • Ability to wear a respirator

  • Demonstrates strong work behaviors including organization, timeliness, dependability, and courtesy to others

  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in a technical discipline

  • Experience in the semiconductor industry

  • Experience in the industrial gas industry
