Job Summary

The Business Development Advisor is responsible for developing and nurturing relationships with prospective and existing healthcare B2B, B2B2C and B2C clients and partners through complex lead generation, pipeline management, and supporting revenue-generating activities. This role also leads by example in outbound prospecting and pipeline generation while helping to mentor Business Development Associates.

Essential Job Functions

  • Execute targeted outreach strategies to secure qualified meetings with key decision-makers
  • Conduct outbound prospecting and client campaigns via phone, email and other channels to drive client conversion and expansion
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities in designated healthcare B2B employers and B2B2C organizations
  • Qualify leads and assess partnership potential through discovery calls and research.
  • Collaborate with the relationship management team to ensure smooth handoff and follow-up on opportunities
  • Track and report ongoing activities, progress, and results to management
  • Stay updated on company products, value propositions, and market changes
  • Perform other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities, and/or activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
  • Comply with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key's clients and Key

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience

Work Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related client-facing role, ideally in financial services, healthcare, HR tech, or SaaS
  • Demonstrated experience using CRM tools, pipeline analytics, and performance dashboards, examples include but not limited to Salesforce, Outreach, Monday.com

  • Business Savvy / Business Acumen: Proficiency in prospecting and relationship-building techniques demonstrating an understanding of banking operations, financial principles, and market dynamics to make informed product decisions.
  • Communication:Strong written and verbal skills; ability to organize information in a clear, consistent format; ability to articulate a clear, well-thought-out message and formal delivery; skills in creating PowerPoint presentations.
  • Analytical: Provides client analytics and hypotheses leveraging internal client data and external market research.
  • Planning and Organizing: Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational abilities effectively setting priorities, managing timelines, and coordinating resources to execute business initiatives.

Physical Demands

General Office: Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face and on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling backpacks, computer bags up to 40 lbs.

Travel/Driving Requirements

Occasional travel required, including overnight stays, to attend meetings, conferences, or visit regional offices.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $96,000.00 - $181,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
