Job Title: Assistant Manager, CPD External Wall Strategy

Division: Consumer Products Division

Location: Hudson Yards, NY or Clark, New Jersey

Reports To: AVP, CPD In-Store Strategy & Planning

Who We Are: For more than a century, L'Oreal has devoted its energy, innovation, and scientific excellence solely to one business: Beauty. Our goal is to offer each and every person around the world the best of beauty in terms of quality, efficacy, safety, sincerity and responsibility to satisfy all beauty needs and desires in their infinite diversity.

The Opportunity:

The Assistant Manager of CPD Wall Strategy is a data-forward role focused on the space planning analytics behind L'Oreal CPD's cosmetics wall strategy. From tray-level performance tools to store subscription management, this role is the engine behind the assortment process and distribution decisions determining how CPD cosmetics brands show up at shelf across U.S. retail. Primarily external-facing, this role works in close partnership with Marketing and Sales teams to translate complex data into clear strategic direction shaping retailer planograms and brand assortment decisions. L'Oreal's vast information systems and iconic brands present a distinct opportunity for modernization, elevating how CPD uses data to win in-store.

What You Will Do:

Store Assignment & Subscription Management

  • Co-own store subscription lists and assignments across all cosmetics retailers and CPD brands. In conjunction with a peer role and the sales teams, you will ensure all POGs are tied to store number, address, and location, and ensure data flows through to all Power BI reports
  • Leverage Blue Yonder Open Access to maintain and update store layouts and subscription data at scale

Planogram Strategy & Tray-Level Intelligence

  • Build and maintain tray value heat maps using Space Planning to visualize tray-level sales performance, productivity, and opportunities across retailer dominant POGs, in close partnership with Marketing
  • Own the SKU Priority List for each CPD cosmetics brand. This data-intensive ranking of tray performance across each brand's full portfolio is used by Marketing and Sales to inform Add/Delete decisions, distribution, identify high and low performing assortments, and optimize individual tray productivity
  • Serve as the tray-level performance authority within CPD cosmetics - synthesizing space planning data into clear, actionable recommendations for Marketing and Sales stakeholders using presentations and power point

Data Tools & Technology

  • Actively identify opportunities to modernize, automate, and improve existing data processes and reporting workflows. Bring a creative, solutions-oriented mindset to how this team uses and consumes information
  • Partner cross-functionally to pilot and implement new tools or data modeling approaches that drive efficiency and smarter decision-making at the wall
  • Work closely with the Data Excellence and Revenue Growth Management teams to identify gaps and opportunities in the overall data stack

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in category management, space planning, retail analytics, or a related field; consumer goods or beauty experience strongly preferred
  • Hands-on experience with Blue Yonder (JDA) tools - including Open Access, Space Planning, and CKB - strongly preferred
  • Strong data modeling and analytical skills; advanced proficiency in Excel required; experience with Power BI or similar BI tools a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to build complex performance tracking tools and translate outputs into strategic recommendations
  • Comfortable operating in a highly detail-oriented environment while maintaining sight of the bigger strategic picture

Professional Competencies:

  • Analytically creative - able to not just manage data but find new and better ways to use it
  • Strong communicator - able to translate complex data outputs into clear direction for Marketing and Sales partners
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple retailers, brands, and data streams simultaneously
  • Proactive problem-solver who sees process inefficiencies as opportunities, not obstacles

What's In It for You:

  • Salary Range: $77,400 - $120,400 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level
  • Competitive Benefits Package (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Pension Plan)
  • Hybrid Work Policy (3 days in Office, up to 2 days Work from Home)
  • Flexible Time Off (Paid Company Holidays, Paid Vacation, Vacation Buy Program, Volunteer Time, Summer Fridays & More!)
  • Access to Company Perks (VIP Access to L'Oreal's Internal Shop for Discounted Products, Monthly Mobile Allowance)
  • Learning and Development Opportunities (Unlimited Access to E-learnings, Lunch & Learn Sessions, Mentorship Programs, & More!)
  • Employee Resource Groups (Think Tanks and Innovation Squads)
  • Access to Mental Health & Wellness Programs
