Description

  1. Provide a leadership role in assuring that work performed is done in a safe and environmentally conscious manner. Lead all employees by visibly engaging in all aspects of the company's Safety Culture.
  2. Analyzes production metrics and makes recommendations for improvements and solutions to issues identified. Oversees staffing and development of all production managers, supervisors, and staff.
  3. Develops maintenance policy and procedures that ensure the optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. Manages all building systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management.
  4. Monitors operational metrics and works with other departments to ensure receipts, production schedules, shipping standards, and targets are met. Leads investigations and determines the root cause of any production delays, disruptions, or quality excursions and implements solutions.
  5. Ensures facilities receipts, production, maintenance work follows safety standards, conforms to specifications, and that work orders are tracked and completed within the budgeted guidelines. Oversee contractors engaged for facility renovation projects. Advise GM of Operations where and when costs are above budget guidelines and recommend corrective actions.
  6. Act as a liaison to keep personnel informed on matters of communications, decisions and policies. Supervise and coordinate the various programs essential to manufacturing procedures, e.g. training, safety, housekeeping, work simplification, cost wage and salary administration, etc. Responsible to maintain an effective occupational evaluation and salary program as well as an employee appraisal system, focusing on employee development.
  7. Assist in planning and execution of capital improvement projects.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.
