Overview TEKsystems is seeking a Service Desk Technician to support a fast-paced operational environment in Louisville, KY. The role is responsible for delivering high-quality technical support while ensuring systems reliability during events.
This position offers long-term potential within a growing organization and provides hands-on experience in a collaborative, team-oriented setting. Key Responsibilities * Provide first-level technical support by responding to incoming calls and requests from users and field teams * Troubleshoot hardware and service desk-related issues for specialized equipment and systems * Maintain professionalism and efficiency while delivering a positive customer experience * Monitor system alerts, error logs, and communication networks to identify and respond to issues * Escalate incidents according to established guidelines and procedures * Perform data entry tasks and ensure accuracy within scheduling and tracking systems * Complete daily operational checklists and assigned tasks in a timely manner * Assist with system configuration requests and basic system updates * Participate in project initiatives and support testing of system updates or enhancements * Conduct preliminary troubleshooting of processing errors and escalate when necessary * Provide backup operational support to help maintain system integrity * Perform additional duties as assigned Work Environment * Onsite role within a collaborative, close-knit team * Fast-paced environment with peak periods requiring heightened responsiveness Qualifications * Entry-level experience in a service desk or IT support role preferred * Strong technical aptitude, including basic understanding of computer systems and troubleshooting * Passion for problem-solving with the ability to remain calm under pressure * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively * Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities * Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred Key Attributes * Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills * Detail-oriented and dependable * Team player with a proactive attitude * Adaptable and able to perform in high-pressure situations Skills * Help desk and service desk support * Troubleshooting and issue resolution * Customer service and user communication * Data entry and task management * Hardware and system support Experience Level Entry Level Additional Information * Opportunity driven by increased operational demand and organizational growth *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract position based out of Louisville, KY. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $18.75/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
