You don't need to be a product management veteran; you need to be curious, fast-learning, and passionate about delivering innovative solutions that make contractors more profitable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deeply understand the needs of construction customers across accounting, WIP, certified payroll, service management, and fleet and asset management
  • Define and prioritize the product roadmap based on customer pain points, market trends, and business impact
  • Partner with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to deliver high-quality product solutions
  • Conduct customer interviews, site visits, and industry research to continuously sharpen your understanding of contractor workflows
  • Champion AI-driven innovation to modernize how construction businesses manage their projects and operations
  • Translate complex construction industry requirements into clear, actionable product specifications
  • Engage with customers, prospects, and industry partners to validate ideas and gather feedback
  • Monitor competitive landscape and emerging construction technology trends to inform product strategy

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience working in or closely with the construction industry (e.g., contractor, software vendor, consultant)
  • Deep knowledge of construction accounting principles including WIP reporting, certified payroll, and job costing
  • Hands-on familiarity with construction operations including service management and fleet/asset management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize ruthlessly
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, adapt, and thrive in a fast-paced product environment
  • Excellent communication skills - able to translate customer needs into product requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a product management, product ownership, or business analyst role
  • Experience with construction ERP or field management software
  • Familiarity with AI tools and enthusiasm for applying them to industry challenges
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
