Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting warehouse and pipe yard operations by receiving, storing, organizing, and shipping materials while providing excellent customer service. This role operates sit-down forklifts and other material handling equipment, unloads and stages pipe and other products, prepares customer orders, and maintains a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment. The position requires continuous physical activity and adherence to established safety procedures.

Job Responsibilities



  • Receive, inspect, verify, and stock incoming materials and inventory.
  • Pull, stage, and prepare customer orders for shipment accurately and efficiently.
  • Support pipe yard operations by unloading deliveries, organizing inventory, and staging materials for customer orders.
  • Operate sit-down forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Provide professional customer service during material pickup and order fulfillment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory through proper material handling and organization.
  • Keep warehouse and pipe yard areas clean, organized, secure, and safe.
  • Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, inventory control, and general warehouse operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • Minimum of 6 months of recent warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory, or material handling experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 month of recent sit-down forklift operating experience required.
  • Experience operating a Combilift preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment preferred.
  • Ability to quickly learn product lines and warehouse procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to provide professional customer service.
  • Ability to continuously lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, pull, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout an 8-hour shift.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.


Education



  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.


Work Experience



  • Minimum of 6 months of recent warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory, or material handling experience required.
  • Minimum of 1 month of recent sit-down forklift operating experience required.
  • Experience operating a Combilift preferred.
