DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position ensures that risk management activities follow federal and state requirements while guiding staff through consistent monitoring practices. The role improves operations by reviewing documentation, identifying issues, and supporting reliable procedures. As an Administrative Officer 4, you will perform the following duties:

  • Report Review: Assess Financial Monitoring Reports for completeness, clarity, and evidence quality in alignment with division standards
  • Corrective Action Evaluation: Examine corrective action plans from sub-recipients to determine whether proposed steps fully resolve identified issues
  • Workpaper Verification: Check staff workpapers for accuracy, documentation quality, and consistency with established requirements
  • Training Support: Deliver basic risk management training and support preparation of instructional materials and sessions as directed
  • Process Integration: Support the incorporation of risk management practices into daily operations and verify use of approved frameworks
  • Risk Assessment Implementation: Carry out fiscal monitoring risk assessments for federally funded programs and guide staff through preparation and documentation

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as an Administrative Officer 3 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Six years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
